WHAT IS COGNITIVE BEHAVIOUR THERAPY?

Cognition is about the way our mind processes information, thoughts and images ; its about the things we think about and believe to be true. Behaviour is about our actions. CBT is about the correlation between our cognitive and behaviour i.e how and what we think, affects the way we behave.

The things we choose to believe are what become our reality. But not everything we believe is true! As a Personal Development Coach I help empower people by overcoming their limited beliefs to move from a limited to a growth/positive mindset.

WHAT IS A LIFE COACH?

A life coach assists people with certain aspects of their life, in order to make positive change. This could relate to their personal life, relationships or careers. A Life Coach is also sometimes referred to as a Personal Development Coach or a Success Coach.The main purpose of a Life Coach is to offer guidance, empowerment and improvement.

WHAT IS YOUR SPECIALTY?

I specialise in mindset coaching. I teach you to recognise and acknowledge the things that are holding you back because of any false beliefs you may or may not have about yourself and life in general and to decipher or work through those false or limiting beliefs you may have in order to discern between truth and perception.

 

WHY WOULD SOMEONE CONSULT WITH A LIFE-COACH?

There are many reasons why someone would seek the services of a Life Coach. Examples are like lack of motivation, fear, stress, advice, problems in their personal lives, business support and guidance. Or maybe you need to speak to someone in confidence and without judgement.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF LIFE COACHING?

There are numerous benefits such as learning how to discover what you want in life and how you can achieve it; finding out your true purpose, discovering what you are passionate about; overcoming obstacles; working on insecurities and lack of confidence; working on a life goal be it in your personal life or career.  Furthermore, Life Coaching is also a means to help inspire you to reach higher levels of gratification in your life.

WHAT METHODS DO YOU USE IN YOUR COACHING?

I use various coaching techniques depending on the client’s individual situation. Tools I commonly use are worksheets and cognitive based exercises to create self awareness, motivate, make progress, to learn something new and to take relevant action.  By doing this, the client is able to learn to understand themself better and move forward positively by making the changes that are needed in their life.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THESE LIFE COACHING TOOLS YOU USE?

The benefits are many.  The tools are valuable  as you are able to identify and address a specific issue.  The worksheets and exercises keep you engaged in your progress and they make the coaching sessions enjoyable and interesting for you, the client. They also help you in being creative and in discussing ideas in order to solve a particular issue. Clients often find this enjoyable. That is the ultimate purpose of my Life Coaching sessions, to also make them enjoyable and keep you inspired.

ARE THE COACHING SESSIONS CONFIDENTIAL?

Definitely! All sessions are confidential and there is a confidentiality clause in the Coaching Agreement which we will sign. All records are safely secured in accordance with the European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

HOW ARE THE COACHING SESSIONS CONDUCTED AND HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?

Depending on your location and / or preference, sessions can be arranged either on line, in person or in small groups.
Coaching sessions are usually between 45 minutes to 1 hour at a time.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE FIRST APPOINTMENT?

The first appointment is usually an introductory, complimentary meeting for 1 hour, where we familiarise ourselves with one another. This first session is more focused on you as the client so I listen to what you want and why you made contact with me. i.e.
- you tell me about yourself
- we establish the type of coaching you need depending on your needs / problem
- what it is you want to accomplish, etc

WHAT HAPPENS IF I WANT TO PROCEED?

Depending on your requirements we will set out a coaching plan and

  • determine how often our coaching sessions will be;

  • How we will interact in between sessions if need be;

  • discuss an accountability plan;

  • discuss fees and payment plan;
