One can only implement change if they really want to change. No amount of talking about it, reading about it or complaining about it will make you change the things that you can change.
Through mindfulness you open yourself up to clarity of your mind ; your thoughts and your intentions and on the right actions you need to take. It is paying attention on purpose.
7 - SIMPLE THINGS YOU
CAN DO EVERYDAY TO HELP YOU LET GO OF THE SMALL THINGS THAT BOTHER YOU
1. PAUSE
Sometimes all we need to do is to take a pause and just breath. Be still in the moment.
2. ASK YOURSELF WHY?
When we pause we allow ourselves to re-focus and calm down.
In that moment of calm, ask yourself why you react the way that you do?
Are you being rational or irrational?
Time outs can save us alot of unnecessary pain or frustration.
3. CHOOSE
Is there anything you can do?
Make a wise choice.
Take a short walk.
Go out and breath in some fresh air.
Take your time ; maybe you are rushing yourself.
Dis-engage from a heated conversation.
Focus on what is important.
4. PRESERVE YOUR PEACE
Turn your thoughts to the things that can impact your day positively.
What are your thoughts focused on?
What changes can you make to be more at peace within?
5. ATTITUDE
Some things are not worth losingyour peace over or getting yourself frustrated about so change your attitude.
6. KINDNESS
Never forget to be kind even to those who are not being kind to you.
I know it can be hard but being kind speaks more about your character than the one who is being rude to you. And think of how you feel when you exercise kindness to others.
7. LET GO OF EXPECTATIONS OF OTHERS
Accept that life happens and it is important to let go of some expectations. Sometimes we cause ourselves pain by having unrealistic expectations.
Don’t look at every situation as a "bad" situation. What can you learn from it?
Remember that the only person you can truly count on is yourself. What can you expect of yourself?
